Could the following be the biological basis for the friction among the Minamoto family as well as for the occurrence of the Sengoku period?:

- "There was a lot of inter-marrying" that could have played havoc with the gene pool...

Is the reason for the violence in Iraq partly because the Iraqi's are like the Japanese during the Sengoku period?:

- Not surprisingly, we are almost utterly innocent of any understanding of how much the high degree of inbreeding in Iraq could interfere with our nation building ambitions.

Concerning cousins marrying, Hideyori and Sen-hime were cousins because their respective mothers were sisters.

The following says:

- ...The high levels of social pathology, violence, and terrorism in
the Arab world suggest that inbreeding is one of the causes.

then what about India and i'm sure this was a traditional
marriage arrangement in many cultures and societies before
the modern era and are still true for many cultures and
societies today. the reason for violence is mostly learned
in today's world from the family, coummunity, institutions
formal or otherwise of conventional, traditional or cultural
( ex, the military or criminal entities like the ethnic
crime groups ), or subnational subversive armed group
aka guerrillas that force children to fight and kill like psychopaths,
and etc. of course there are the fight or flight response
that is genetic and built into our biophysiological
nature that a few millennias of human existence we can't evolve
out of unless our intellectual powers find a way to transcend
this limitation through technology, medicine or bioengineering
otherwise it should take thousands of years more to evolve out
of this genetic trait.

Would the pre-Tokugawa Japanese have been at home in the Middle East?:

- The template of tribal life, with its violent and shifting balance of power between fusing and fissioning lineage segments, is the dominant theme of cultural life in the Arab Middle East (and shapes even many non-Arab Muslim populations).
